It was still early morning, and the moonlight shone brightly over the city of Paris. Most were resting so they would have enough energy for the next exciting day in this bustling city. Though there was one that was still away during this time. A single orange tom sat on the roof of one of the many houses in the area. He could be found here or on a rooftop close by, on most nights. This bright orange cat sat in silence. Curious thoughts sped through his head. He had always wondered what his family would have been like if they where normal. If he and his brother where raised in a loving family. Would that have changed everything? A small breeze pushed the chill of the night into his fur. And with a short shiver he laid down. His past was a painful one, and no cat other than his brother knew about it. How he would have given anything to be loved and in a normal family. Still contemplating how different his life could have been. How are other cats raised? How could his parents not love their children? His mind too preoccupied with his thoughts, he stared blankly at the bright lights still on in some parts of the city.

The moon was just starting to sink over the city of Paris. The cold stone chilled Yuna's pawsteps; her white breathe materialized in rhythm with her gait. The calico was hunting quite early - her stomach grumbled angrily, demanding more food. She sighed, it might've been a bad idea, but she had been looking for any sleeping birds that might come off as an easy catch. A couple months of this stuff and she was still a little thin around the sides. She exhaled loudly, tired from living on rotten food found in humans' box. Her eyes darted around, not expecting to land on another cat. Few were usually awake at this time. Yuna found herself sporting on a crooked grin - maybe she could charm her way into some food. Her tail swished from side-to-side in delight. She leaped over the roofs gracefully, making sure she would look cute if the tom dared to look. Her green-blue eyes glittered. "Great day to moon at things, huh?" She asked sheepishly, a pun so cheesy one could get fat from just hearing it. Sitting not too close but enough for them to speak to each other easily. She shivered a bit, the biting wind cutting through her. The calico couldn't help but glance at the tom. He wasn't too bad looking; a bright ginger coat and generally lithe body. He looked a little too serious though, she noted dully. Maybe she should tell some more jokes? Character: Yuna Words: 247 Tagged: The Lovely Blaze? C:

Startled by the sudden sound of another voice, the orange tom froze. He turned his gaze to the cat now seated near him. "Uh... Yeah. Seems so," he said unable to comtemplate a better answer to such an odd statement. He relaxed a little when he realized this cat seemed to be no threat. He didn't want to be impolite and stare for too long so he shifted his gaze back to the bright moon. His expression changed so he wouldn't seem so gloomy. "Odd for another cat to be awake at this hour. I haven't met anyone at this hour," He stated, with a happier tone then before.
He had noticed she seemed quite skinny. Probably hungry and still looking for some food. It was hard to find in this big city but he often found a few places crawling with mice. Though he couldn't just ive away those locations to random cats. They'd clean those places out and then where would he get his meals? She probably wanted nothing to do with him rather than information. Information like those places crawling with mice. He'd met plenty of cats who've done that. Acted nice simply to get something that benefits then and then they leave. He was a loner for that reason. Everyone left. The only cat he knew he could trust was his brother and even then they didn't see each other much.
He tossed the idea of attempting to make a friend around in his head a bit, and decided if he never tried he'd always be alone so why not. With his blue eyes affixed still on the moon he questioned, "What brings you here to talk to a cat who always sits alone?"

Yuna noticed how the tom stiffened at the sound of her voice, feeling a bit guilty. He probably wasn't much for friends. She shrugged at his reply, not to bothered by the weirdness around them. Her ears perked at the change of his tone, the tom was very polite. The she-cat decided that he was on the 'cool friends' mental list. A loud gurgle interrupted the peace, her stomach demanding for more food. She flushed a little under her fur, grinning sheepishly. The calico shuffled her paws awkwardly. "Yeah, I guess I'm a little hungry." Yuna hoped the tom didn't think of her as someone who took advantage of her looks - even though that's exactly who she was - she had an image to keep. "I was looking for some sleepy prey," She tried coming out as casual, but it had a little ting of nervousness. "but I saw you and you didn't look too ratty." The calico giggled at her own joke; a high pitched but quiet squeak. There was going to be a lot more jokes with her around. She huffed a small sigh. "What's your name?" _________________

Hearing the sound that her stomach made clearly proved his suspicions to be right. "Sleeping prey, huh? Well I don't know of many places that would have that. It's hard to find anything around here." Food often was hard for him to find. Seeing as he couldn't always use the spots he knew or else every last bit would be gone and it would be harder for him to find food.
Thankful that he didn't look too much like he'd lived his whole life in the streets or at least like he didn't look like the garbage, his eyes brightened a little. He pondered weather to help her get something, and whether or not she could be trusted. He stifled a small laugh. His ice blue gaze tuned to her now. "Th' name's Oliver. What is yours?" He paused, "And If I may ask, are you from 'round here?"

The calico ginned sheepishly. She could tell the tom knew she was out for food. She hoped the tom wouldn’t tell her to go away. That happens to her sometimes. Actually, a lot of times. "I'm Yuna!" She said excitedly. She couldn't help the big grin that infected her face. Oliver looked pretty tolerant of her. She turned towards him, looking at his blu eyes. The gaze sent smal shivers throgh her spine; but it went over her head. She was happy o make another friend. The last question threw her off a little. Should she lie, or tell the truth? The she-cat comtemplated it for a few moments. Her image wasn't too rough, she knew... "Uh, no." Yuna said, huffing a nervous laugh. "I used to be a house cat." _________________

Oliver looked at Yuna with a questioning look. "A house pet?" He looked her over,'Well that makes sense,' He thought to himself. He sighed, "Alright, well I can help you if you'd like." He shifted his gaze to the city below, "I've had my dinner for tonight." He forced his legs to haul his body up. His orange fur shining in the moonlight. He'd spent too many years on the street doing this. "I don't mind helping you, but don't think that I'll let this be a common occurrence," Oliver said, still gazing at the glistening city. Should this mysterious female decide to take his offer, he couldn't guess the answer. Most cat's stay away or attack him so a friendly one is definitely something that should be noted. Maybe he could make a friend out of this, maybe.

Yuna felt a bit uncomfortable; the cat was staring at her like she was a foreigner. Which she technically was. She shrugged half-heartily, wincing since her shoulders were a bit stiff in the cold. "Uh yeah," She said a bit awkwardly, "It was kind of boring for me though so I left." When he offered her a lesson on hunting, she squealed with glee. "Ohmigosh, thank-you thank-you thank-you!" She headbutted Oliver's shoulder in appreciation. A burst of excitement blossomed in her chest, she couldn't help it! Within seconds she was skittering around in circles, her claws click and clacking. "Yay lets go!!" _________________ tags; Oliver | words; 102 | occ;

Oliver stretched and yawned. It was late but he didn't mind helping out another cat. After all she probably wouldn't last very long on her own. " well I guess we'd better get going then! everything should be asleep...but I know a few places were the mice stay awake." He started to walk off. "First we need to get off these roofs." He made his way down a fire escape that was on the side of the building. that was the way he had climbed up in the first place.
He turned to her, " I'm going to take you out of the city for this one. Towards an old barn that has been abandoned for years. of course I'll show you how to get back to the city from there afterwards." He started to pick up his pace. " Hope you don't mind a little walking!" He said before he ran off.

She looked at him idly, her thoughts drifting someplace else. Wow maybe I can finally live a content life. She wondered a bit. The words he said flew right over her head. The moment he started to move she came out of her stupor.
"Hope you don't mind a little walking!" He yelled back, sprinting away. She struggled to catch up, barely dodging a low bar and scrambling to get over the rooftops. She couldn't say anything or tonight bugs would end up in her stomach.
She gave out a small yelp and a splinter decided to conveniently lodge itself into her paw. Drops of blood dotted the building but she couldn't stop going or else she'd lose the tom. The splinter dug itself further and further until she couldn't handle the pain.
Mousedung, she thought dejectedly once she started limping. She bit into the big thorn and yanked it out as fast as she can. When she looked up, the figure was nowhere to be seen. She looked down at the wound with regret, licking it tenderly. Why did I stop...? She asked herself.
occ: sorry if it's kind of dramatic xD

After running a bit he turned his head over to see if she was close he noticed she was no longer there. He slowed his pace, turning around to go back and find her. Maneuvering around each building until he could see her figure. He went around the long way to end up behind her.
"Why'd ya stop? Do you not want food?" He said a bit confused. He hoped that she hadn't changed her mind. He got quite a bit lonely around this city so it was nice to have someone around. Even for a bit. He looked around, trying to see if there was another cat or something that would stop her that was nearby. He couldn't find anything so he simply looked back at her for an answer.
